Curvy, wild, irregular grain patterns. Bright red, pink, and orange tints. Chaotic, coarse, widely spaced pores. Pieces crafted from locust can brighten a space and bring a smile. The “ring-porous” nature of the grain – many large pores formed in the wood early in the season, followed abruptly by a series of smaller pores late in the season – helps give turned locust a very whimsical feel.
